Make: Landrover
Model: series 3
Year:1975
Motor and gearbox: Red 186 Holden motor with landrover 4 speed gearbox with syncro's on all four gears
Colour: Some cheap ass silver
luxury's: well............. i have an interior light
Radio: the sound of all those strange noises that sounds like it going to blow up

Things i love about it: its so basic and its fun to drive, cant wait to fold that windscreen down, and they just look awesome
Things i hate about it: for such a big car it has fk all room in it, difficult to get into the engine bay, and has the worst turning circle, looks like i cant go through the KFC drive through anymore, and parking the bastard with that turning circle

I got this because its piss cheap, easy to find parts, and they are just awsome

It go's so fast that the paint has been ripping off the bonnet

so plans are to paint it British green when i get money for paint and im trying to decide to either put a mechanical winch on it which i have one in the shed or an overdrive so i dont piss people off in the 100 zone, after that i will basically leave it stock, but i have been thinking of putting a series 2 metal dash in it if i can find one

also might fit a radio and a clock for some luxury

got a clock out of a 60 series cruiser and wired it up in the rover, also got a number plate light for trailer and used it as a interior light, im flash now, sprayed some silver over the bonnet as a temporary paint job so it looks sorta half decent untill i can afford the deep bronze green im looking for. sealed up the exhaust and its quieter then a prius, i still have to put a fuel sender in it yet its not fun being stuck on the side of the road with no fuel so ill be ordering some parts from uk, its like 70% cheaper then buying it is australia

i decided im going to repray it silver, it really suits it with the black out on the wheels and tray etc, and that way i dont have to paint the back of the cab and remove the tray.
did a coolant flush and it seams to be a lot better also got a fixed engine fan so i can do away with the thermo.

when 4wding today and it didnt beak a sweat, actually a lot better then my old cruiser, but the 4wd session didnt last long as the nissan navara in the group lost 4wd so we had to go home, bloody nissans

Spent all day preping the rover for primer, ill just leave it in grey primer with black out wheels, cheap and looks good, and if i decide to paint it later on its already in primer then
