Just did a 300k trip to the tablelands to pick up a canvas canopy for the landy, it's from a cruiser and need to weld a mount on it yet, I'll get some pics if it when I get it on the ute

This is a trial fit, just got to cut the front a bit shorter and weld a bracket on it, it's a nice canopy just got to give it a good cleaning and some modifications. The roof sags down so I'll weld some support bars up there and the canvas is missing a couple stitches but $150 it's not bad it's even got some spare wheel mounts and cages for the sides

Sweet lookin' series 3 mate. Good to see someones already done the obligatory front chassis, door top and bottom rust repairs haha. The rear cross member will probably be held together with paint aswell. My first car was a 2A shorty with the 2.25L petrol and a over drive. Could comfortably cruise at 110kph however emergency braking wasn't one of it's strong points.
Here's a pic of mine to inspire your paint job.

Cheers!

If you have any issue's with your top radiator hose and want to replace it with a normal pre-curved one try a bottom hose from a 2.0L 1992-97model Mazda 626.
I think you flip it upside down and chop about an inch off the longer end and it fits almost perfectly.

I used to have one of those universal flexi type top hoses but it would swell when hot so I biffed it.

ive lost all interest in commodores so i swapped my VH for a N13 pulser. its a good little pocket rocket, and surprisingly pretty quick (note i drive a landrover as a daily so anything is quick to me) mint interior , P/S, elec mirrors, good tires.

i got it to drive around as its cheap on fuel, of course ill still drive the rover but i can drive one for a week and the other the next week, anyway im looking for a 4cyl diesel like a hilux, navara or mazda B series to convert the motor over so now i have a car to drive around when i finally find another motor

almost killed the 186 today, had about 900 kg of car parts in the tray followed by a trailer going up the gillies range heading to the tablelands, almost cooked it, and its got a knock when working hard now, i think its time for a motor change, i decided the 200TDI landrover turbo diesel motor will be a good conversion, just got to find a cheap discovery as the doner car

Ever thought of using an Isuzu 4BD1 turbo diesel? Quite a common conversion for a Landy.

Yeah but getting hold of one won't be easy, I'll go with the 4cyl 200tdi so I need to buy a landrover discovery, I've been looking but most of the disco's are shitty v8's

replace the drivers seat with an n13 pulser seat i got for free, my other landrover had bucket seats so i just used the seat rails from that. welded the seat to suit the rails, its a big improvement now i dont feel like im going to fly out the door when i go around corners and keeps you inplace when i go 4wding, i will not be doing it to the otherside because it has a little storage compartment under the seat, also the seat take up alot of room

Just bought a landrover disco with a 200tdi and 5 speed manual 280.000k's on the clock, it comes with a UHF that I will put in mine, got it for $1000 has a good running gear but the body is rusted, I should get it tomorrow and I'll take some pictures, it drives great and the motor and gearbox will be perfect in my old girl, as soon as I get the pulser on the road I'll start ripping it apart.
