I always thought the adverting of medicines was only allowed in the US and NZ?
they advertise it as 'see your doctor' at the end of some messages making it sound like there are more cases/public service announcement.

I think that way they aren't advertising a medication product, the doctor will when you ask about that vaccine you heard you needed.

I have cruise radio on a fair bit now (yeah I feel like I'm 80, but its less talking than FM stations do even on digital.)

anyways - I get to hear a fair amount of ads for funeral homes, and shingles vaccinations. It's probably because I am listening to old farts station, but I don't remember ever hearing so much about shingles until recently. Now it's on radio all of the time, and on social feeds etc. has there been a case rise for shingles? or is it the Baader-Meinhof Phenomenon?
It's just big pharma doing what they do:(

Had KFC. for the first time in what must have been at least 3 years. Not same as I remember it. The white meat was tough & the seasoning was rather pitiful. Off the carbs, so cannot comment on chips or gravy.

Pharmacy guild lobbying. I take Nexium daily, but through a prescription. Costs me $13.30 for 28 tablets. Pharmacies are also allowed to flog it over the counter (thanks to good old lobbying money) at $8 for 7 tablets. Liberals tried to have PPI antacids removed from the PBS altogether so that pharmacists could rip off people like myself, but the AMA told them piss off. Benefits outweigh the cost.

$16.95 for 6 pieces isn't terrible, but it's not great given the amount of meat on each piece of chicken - 2 drumsticks, 2 thighs, 2 pieces of breast with 2/3 (or more) of the white meat removed. I'd say at least half of the "6 piece box" is bone.

You guys are going to hate me, I can get 90 Losec (or generic substitute) for free currently but will be NZ$5 sometime in the near future and that goes for any medication your doctor prescribes that is on the pharmac list, $5 per item.

If you have a health card in Australia scripts are about $6.50. I was paying $40 for one thing I take (full cost $117) but it dropped to $29, something I think Labor introduced to do with cheaper medicine. If I had a health card $6.50.
