Yeah, need to drive ahead and you wont need to change too many gears. Or you can use them to your advantage.
If you are hauling it then slamming on the anchors to stop then go back to an auto.
Just drive in traffic like you are in a b double with an 18 speed and not wanting to come to a stop.

Anyway, nothing quite like the feeling of leaving a manual supercharged v8 down a gear to hear the whine and be well into the good area of the torque curve (or lack of curve, just a nice flat line)

Winter break shore makes a man lose his fitness. Gone full-time at work, upgraded to supervisor, which is ok. But my second job as a gardener/landscaper has not been getting done. First day back today and I'm fucked. An acre of slopes to mow and edge, that i can normally have a couple of short breaks, has cost me a good hour of breaks just lacking fitness big time. Getting too old and too fat, mostly too fat.... lol

Is it just me or has anyone else done this. You scroll down the " pic of the day " thread and get to the last one and try to work out what it is and where the joke is only to realize its an advertisement at the bottom of the page.

Yeah I sometimes have the same thing if I am on the laptop or phone, no ad blocker.

On another note I really want another road bike but down here it's really just a summer thing. I am saving a fair bit each fortnight and by March 2020 I could buy my Daytona 900. Trouble is I really need to save up for a new shed, especially if we buy a new block closer to Town. Hmmm maybe a bike is something to buy in 12 months time. I could use finance but I hate giving banks may hard earned money in the way of interest, bastards make nearly 60 bucks a fortnight from me as it is on my home loan and I want to get that down to about 20 a fortnight....

**** me, I had the same problem over the weekend, 2 hours pruning trees, clean the gutter/roof and then clean up the mess I made. After 5 hours non stop I was fucked royally and much the same on Saturday putting up posts and beams for a privacy screen around the spa. Thank **** I have today off to recover. At least the heavy work is done for now on that project.

Congrats on the promo, hope you got a pay rise to go with it.

Probably not but I am saving up for a new shed. Money i make from the second job can go into my ute fund or bike fund, he, he. I also like to buy equipment. The gardening business helps with making sure i have a decent range of petrol power gear and all of it well maintained.

Yeah will be Pete. I have arranged to head down the West Coast this week and buy some goodies. I missed out on a set of 3.45s for 100 bucks, same area. Spewin about those, they rarely come up for sale. I have a Stato cloth drivers seat and a tonneau cover to look at, along with a perfect radio shroud. I have some coin from my gardening job owed to me and it will be plenty to cover the parts, just have to borrow from the savings until the main contractor pays my invoice i sent him. Having to pay wrecker prices though, in the last few years nothing has come up private in the way of rare parts and VR - VS Stato is about as rare as it gets here, even the local wreckers haven't had any stock for over 5 years, some over 15 years. Hence i have drive over 2 hours now to find parts.
