Well today I got the indicators I have been waiting for since before Christmas. Yay. These are used in Europe on the other Opels etc.

Will be doing the same badges on the Cross8. I did the gloss black badges.

There isn’t a listing for the VZ grill but as it turns out, it’s the exact same size as that used on VE Calais rear and VF Calais rear. So that’s what your looking at on the grill.

This is the panel on top of the dash pad. I retrimmed it because back in 2015 when I originally did the inside, I botched the corners.

No glare or reflection on the windscreen.

Haven’t been able to get much more done. It’s been bloody hot and if it’s not hot, it’s bloody windy.

Towbar is done. Baking in the searing bloody sun for a week or two.
Next have to remove the new rear bar to do the Towbar cutout and then rewire in the camera.

Repainting the tub trims. Will be much tidier and match in with the fresh back end. Can only paint when it’s not ridiculously hot though.

Also have the back tub panel to do. All prepped but with no garage to paint in, waiting for a day that’s not windy, not super hot and above all a day that’s not both.

Spare wheel is done. Fresh as.

Have also had to recover the seat. Eagle had a new cover so on it went. Was ok to do but I took it slow so I didn’t fk it up.

It had like a glue on it.

Looks gross but it doesn’t smell of farts. Cover went… in the bin!

Went out in the hot sun for a few days.

New one going on. Clip in the front.
Insert the foam

Then press down the Velcro into the foam crevices. Stretch over the back and clip in

All done and also the rails are ready for clear coat.

and here we are in the east drowning in literally flooding rain and humidity. ( and yes I'm lucky not been hit too hard).
Gotta love AUS and it's extremes !!!!!
Pick and choose / be adaptable to when do shxt/stuff .
I and still most of us go = start again = love , wouldn't want to live any where else!!

Perth is fkn cursed.
Was incinerator hot earlier coinciding with a day off work. Then is cools. Not a breath of wind. Calm. Perfect temp. Perfect for painting. Only for one thing though.

It has rained. About 30°. Still might rain. Might. Might not as well. The Red VZ is not sheltered.

Did get the Towbar cutout done. Copied the one on the Cross8. There is a cutout mark on the back but the Towbar doesn’t actually need the whole area cut out.

Mounted up the reverse camera too.
