You've got to laugh, no door or wing mirrors either. I bet cars are pranged more now, even with all the mirrors, cameras, warning beeps etc.

Although true, it's not an apples for apples comparison. How fast did they drive? How many cars on the road? How were peoples attitudes to others/road manners.

Agreed. Although I do believe people's manners were probably better back in the day.

Exactly, people were a lot more courteous back then, hell, when I sat my license one of the things covered was not to inconvenience other road users, keep left when turning etc. These days most people on the road don't give 2 shits about other road users and will do what ever suits themselves regardless of who they inconvenience out on the road. It's a sad indictment on society as a whole.

So what's the go with the Torana? New project?

Very long history with this car known it the majority of my life...lots of memories & sentimental value.

Bought off cousin in law early 90's which he had owned roughly 5 years before that taking me & my cousin on cruises, car shows & street racing....which I continued on with also up to mid 2000's maybe later.

It was my first major project with wild triple webbered 202/m20/3.9 bango setup....learnt alot...broke it numerous times & fcukloads of fun/memories.

Second rebuild it got mini-tubs efi 304/getrag/3.89 lsd borgwarner,18 inch granges with 330mm front brakes...was one of the first retrotech conversions 20+ years ago.

Time got away from it work, life etc plus also built a few other cars also other people's cars too.

It was my first major project & after current crop of commodores are built/finished the lc gtr will be my last major project.

Hi
Was wondering if you had any pics of the grange wheels?

Saw a set of 18" granges last year at the wreckers. $500.00 with crap tyres.

I have 2 sets of 19" BBoss wheels that to me look the same as the grange wheels l saw at the wreckers.

I'am wondering if your grange wheels are the same as mine or different?
