go to a "club" seeing everyone else wanted to go.
now to get into this place you have to sign in.
half a dozen underages get in easy, no questions asked.
the guy doesnt believe its me in my photo, fair enough its 2 years, but still similar, and signature to sign in was mildly different (you know 2 years of working you get so lazy signing multi times each day)
oh then asks for even more id.
im on holidays, i dont carry my 50odd work security passes and licences.
atleast one guy could figure out it was me.

otherwise what, you want me.to hand you another license (didnt have it on me) from like 12yrs of age (boat).
because that totally looks like me now :/

i know, doing there job.
but it pissed me off, that i ask an of age person nearly get rejected because of a 2year old photo, and underages pass through no worries *sigh*

I was in England visiting family with my parents and brother (both of us were over 18 at the time), and we went clubbing with a few cousins, one of whom was 16, so I walk up to the bouncer, and he points to each one of us and is like "I.D. you lot", so I'm like "I got this", and show him my australian drivers license.

He looks at it and goes "What the F--k is this!?" and I explained it was an aussie drivers license cos' I was an aussie, and he got really aggro for some reason, so I took him over about a meter away from the door to the light and showed him where it showed my date of birth. As this was going on, my brother and cousins had slipped into the club behind him, along with about 4 or 5 other people in the line, so after a few minutes the bouncer said "yeah whatever go in, bring real I.D. next time". Like wtf.

So I said "What do you think this is, a library card?" and ran in. SO hardcore lol. But yeah, we later ended up getting the club shut down for the night because my cousins' mate tried to glass some guys for going through the girls' hand bags :/

When overseas most clubs prefer passports, they usually don't know what a license from overseas looks like so how do they know it's real?

My cousin nearly got rejected from all the clubs we went to when we were in Fortitude Valley because they said they didn't accept passports & needed a proof of age card instead

Well thats stupid. As long as its a legit passport and written in English than its fine. If it isn't in English than its not acceptable.

i just find it funny that all the underagers got in but i was asked for more id.
i mean im going out somewhere i carry nothing.
joys of running 2 wallets (work one with about 20 cards of id that are a work necessity) and a weekend/holiday wallet with bare essentials.

funnily though when i went to crown casino with my cousin, i was asked for no id, just a g'day from the staff.
country town get the full interrogation from staff :p

on the phone so cant edit above.

however. In the paper there have been calla for bans for under 18s to not be allowed to drive jetskis.
due to them "having more performance then sports cars.
do these people not realise the restrictions that are in place.
as for performance yeah they do get up and go.
but have they not seen the power of boats?

pisses me off that people target many law abiding people.
especially when they dont even know the rules themselves.

On Friday I got a massive screw in the tyre on my van. Didn't have time to get it fixed so had to drive the Statesman to my in laws farm. It's now filthy after 3 hours of bumpy, bug infested country roads.

This morning I went out to put the spare on the van to take the screw in to get fixed only to find it was flat. No worries, chuck it on the compressor and pump it up. Goes flat. Pump up tyre with screw, drive slowly to tyre shop and spend 280 bucks on 2 new tyres and alignment.
