Welcome to Just Commodores, a site specifically designed for all people who share the same passion as yourself.
I've checked all earths and switched the relay, still no result. Ive run out of thinks to check. I've disconnected the viper alarm in case it was screwing up the imobiziler. That is about right. Still no start with 40+ psi fuel pressure?
What happens to the fuel pressure when you stop cranking?
When you replaced the cap did you replace the rotor?
Have you checked voltage when cranking?
Clean and checked the earth connection on the ignition module? Also check/clean/tighten earth connections on block, chassis and battery terminals.
Switch out ignition relay with the horn or high beam relay as these are seldomly used and generally in good working order.
Would the immobilized fail while driving?Sounds like it is immobliser related to me, if you have fuel, you have air but no spark and the ignition system is all ok not much else it can be.
I installed is the same position and it only required a small turn anti clock wise to turn it right.Do you know for sure that the dizzy is in the right position? There has been a few people over the last few months have it out.
Regardless how the distributor is timed, I would have thought a spark would still occur unless the anti theft crap has kicked in and inhibits the spark?Do you know for sure that the dizzy is in the right position? There has been a few people over the last few months have it out.
