Hi all,

I’ve just had extractors and cats installed on my VF 2014 SS and after taking it for its first spin, i’ve started to hear this ticking sound coming from the rear drivers side bank. The ticking sound follows the revs. It seems to only do it after it’s warmed up.

Is this just a noisy valve train or is it something more serious like a failed lifter? Cheers

Sounds normal, my stock car makes that sound seemly random…

As above ^^^
Sounds like a normal L77,
My L77 sounds like that after 217,000 k’s,
It’s always had a slight tappet noise from 17,000 k’s (in 2013 when purchased) I did mention it to Brighton Holden, and assured me it was normal.
I checked mine everywhere with a mechanics stethoscope,
And is a little noisy on the right bank, around the 4th & 6th pot
It’s interesting enough, if I remove the turtle shell, it’s not as loud,
Keeping in mind, I have AFM active on mine also,
I can take video of mine for you if you like.
