Ve s2 Ute
So I have only just recently brought a VE s2 sv6 Ute but when I take my foot off the Excelerator I hear a loud ticking noise
Not sure what it is maybe timing chain but I don’t know
Anyone know what is might be?

Yes, could be -
timing chains,
vapour solenoid,
Valve rocker.

Km/‘s ?
Mods ?,
Service history ?
Does it make the noise while driving, or stationary, or both ?
Is the MIL on ?

The car has 180,000km and is completely stock and the service history is clean.
The noise I have noticed is only when the car goes above 2-3 rpm so moving and stationary

Even an exhaust leak can sound like a ticking noise at certain rpm's so might be worth a check just in case.
