No fuel in vacuum hose from fuel pressure regulator. It's also a new regulator.

This is what l was thinking of, when l said "whats the dipstick smell like". I was thinkibng FPR.

Whats the motor running like? Missing?

Where did all the parts come from?

Who changed the lim gaskets?

Injector related. Are they genuine replacements or cheap ebay ones? Check your spark plugs. Are they wet?

They're cheap ebay ones. Recently dismantled and reassembled top end, but were working fine before disassembly.

Couldn't possibly be MAF? Telling injectors to let through too much fuel?

Rough idle, guessing because there's too much fuel in cylinders.
Various places.
I changed the LIM gaskets. I don't understand how the LIM gaskets relate to fuel in oil. You have the intake ports and the coolant ports. Either way, there is too much fuel going into the cylinders. More likely that excess fuel is passing by piston rings when not combusted.

Aren’t the injectors in these engines hot (that is they always have 12v when engine is on) and isn't it the ECU which earths the injector ground wire for them to fire?

If so, and that’s the case in many engines, check your wiring because one of the injector ground wires could have been pinched when stuff was reassembled and thus the injector is always on (and with a 100% duty cycle getting closer towards burning out the injector coil).
