If it has heaps of bounce in the rear maybe the shocks are stuffed. Lowering it with blocks won't take the bounce out, and using aftermarket leafs will probably make it too stiff.

I wish my tonner was a manual, but the VY V6 tonners only came out in auto. A bit of a bummer really. I've thought about a getrag conversion but thought I might run into trouble with the tail shaft length.

Wouldn't the utes both run the same length Tailshaft between Tonner + normal?

If not, i believe you can split your tailshaft in half and change one side of it to suit. I could be wrong though.

Tonner is longer wheel base, the same as the crewman actually. But you could be right about splitting the shaft. Something for me to look into.

yeah thats what i was kinda thinking , as its more under power giving it a bit of stick it gets a bit floaty/bouncy in the rear .

Lol yeah the auto gearbox is dead on the v8 ute and the manual conversion is sitting in garage , just need to by a clutch then its all systems go . Tell your brother to do the conversion for me haha.
