either way it will still cause damage.. Seen plenty of rooted wheels from guys that want that cool flutter sound.

Compressor surge has been done to death for years every vl flutters/doses and im yet to see anyone report damage caused by it. There is no way in hell that the air chopping through the turbo is going to spin the turbine backwards

Headgaskets start going when people pump too much boost into their motors 10+ psi, on a hi comp turbo converted motor with no aftermarket ecu for tuning, get an aftermarket ecu, and you should be safe, im currently converting mine to turbo so it will be hi comp with a hi flowed turbo pumping 10psi, hidden front mount and 3" exhaust.

But headgaskets are a problem of hi comp turbo conversion

This is a load of ****, my mate has a vl turbo wagon, all it is, is a high comp setup running 13psi all day everyday and never had a blown head gasket!

It shouldnt have head gasket problems! Common problems with high comp setups is pinging which is eliminated with good fuel setup and a good tune

with comp surge not really damage impeller wheel as such
but excess strain on bearing and seals causing premature wear i would only think this in high boost aplications..

Dump pipe from turbo and dump pipe to cat, vlt exhaust manifold, gaskets. Oil drain what screws into the block (i have a spair one i can sell you) and all oil and water lines for the turbo(should have them already on turbo when u buy it) then a few hoses and hose clamps...
