have a 3.0 vl and wanting to do a turbo build just want to know what I’ll need and some advice for it as not wanting to spend loads of money but don’t mind spending a fair amount as it’s only going to be turbo for the summer then will being going to start a v8 conversion
And what ecu would everyone recommend

Be sure to write a letter what your plan is to your insurance company.
May I ask who are you with?

If you don't want to spend loads of money wait for the v8. If you do decide to go the turbo route forget about the v8 as you can get decent power out of a turbo.

I agree with Keith, either pick the V8 or Turbo option, as doing both is a huge waste of money... Me personally, I'd go down the turbo route as that's what made the VL special in my opinion, but there is nothing wrong with a V8...

Next he will tell him to look in the owners manuel and service history
In all seriousness, stamped logbooks only tells me a little bit on older cars... There are people out there who fake the service entries and there are also cars out there that have been well maintained, even if the logbook hasn't been completely stamped, throughout the car's life...
