Had a busy day today. The Clevite bearings came in from Mace so i thought why not bolt the bottom end up.

Made a tool to push out and put the new cam bearings in. The bigger dia is a 0.02mm smaller than the I/D if the bore in the block so i can line the bearing in dead straight.

Good stuff, its nice to see some one doing a propper job.

Make sure you check the new cam bearings when the cam goes in, spin it by hand and make sure they are not going to be too tight and use plenty of assembly lube, jam some up the oil feed holes as well.

Oh yeah for sure. When i was putting the bottom end together today i used a shitload of lube. Also gave everything a spin after every bolt that was done up just to make sure everything spins nice.

Nah easy as. That tool will make life easy.

Big ends were 0.05mm clearance, end float was 0.15mm. Didnt measure the mains as the crank isnt at all worn. Mic'd everything up beforehand and used STD clevites, everything rotates spot on. Its too much BS with those main caps the way they press in and out. End up doing more damage than good lol.
