Sorry if this thread has been done elsewhere, I couldn't see it...

So, I've picked up a 2010 VE Berlina with a LF1 (bit of an upgrade on my 3.8 VYII)
However that throttle lag..... It's farking HORRIBLE!!!!!... I push the go pedal & it takes longer than my Mrs. giving birth to our daughter to get a move on

So I read the forums & got myself a EVC Throttle Controller, they've got rave reviews... (yummy yummy, can't wait to put it in).
I thought to myself I be a clever bugger, so I also bought a Haynes manual, just so I don't f'up anything...

Wouldn't you believe it... They don't have simple bodywork information on something simple like removing the plastic panel that sits above your feet so one can get to the wiring under there (I mainly want to get to the top of the accelerator so I can plug the EVC in).

I'd rather not break the panel, so if some clever individual can please inform me on how to remove the pesky panel without breaking it I'd be mucho grassiass

Thanks, but I want to remove the panel lower than that one.
I want to remove the trim around the pedals

Getting closer, but no, not the kick panel.
The panel above the accel/brake pedals, where the heater vents are for footwell heating.

It is. There’s push fit clips and one or two scrivets. Quite wide ones.

Bugger me... I must be blind then... I'll go have another closer look.
I could have sworn I couldn't see any scrivets (I know where they are on my VY)
to be continued....

Update
No scrivets , just clips... Bloody tight clips, 5 of them.

@lout your link "https://www.autoinstruct.com.au/man...odore/steering-wheel-lower-dash-trim-removal/"
helped thank you. I removed the lower dash panel, then I could see the clips.

So, after installing the EVC & leaving it set at AC I went for a test round the block... It's bloody brilliant!
Installation required removal of the pedal from the firewall otherwise the bonnet release gets in the way (fyi, don't drop the 10mm down behind the kick panel, otherwise you have to remove that too @#$%$#@)
Instant response. So very much better to have the car do what it's told, when it's told, not 1-3 seconds later.

So.... next up... Get the rear speakers working...

Was the removal of the pedal to properly access the wiring plug on it?
