So if anyone comes across this problem dont freak out like I did.

1. Dont use mothers california gold unless you're a pro at waxing.
2. If you do get the same problem try to keep rubbing out the mess gently.
3. Failing that, easiest thing to do is to have a different brand of wax (preferably liquid based - DO NOT USE CUT AND POLISH!!!!!!) and place that over the top.
4. If that fails then Im sorry but I have no idea. Seek help.

You could clay the car to remove old wax.
Meguiars Quick Clay or Auto Glym Clay are at Autobarn

Repco and Super Cheep have mothers clay as well... It could be the Kryptonite that Gokz needed.

Personally, I'd go over it with Meguiar's Scratch X (as that's what I have in the shed and have used it before) then re-wax it with Meguiar's, AFTER READING THE DIRECTIONS! Does it show that I like Meguiar's products?

As ScottSV6 mentioned, some waxes/polishes will do this mixed with water. Try Meguires Quick detailer spray. This should soften it up and wipe it several times with microfibre cloth. Its a good idea to prep the paint prior to applying wax. At enthusiast level (and if you have the time) clay bar first, then apply paint cleaner polish then seal with the wax.

If that doesnt work use Meguires Ultimate Quik Wax spray. I have used this on stubborn wax residue on the car and its taken it off with ease.

Hope it helps.
