I have had some diamond pattern plastic grille mesh for awhile and hope to do this mod soon. Rather than use epoxy to glue the new mesh I am considering buying one of the cheap plastic welders. The hot air gun type available on evilbay.

Has anyone used one of these and is there any opinion on if it might be ok for the multiple very small welds required?

As long as the two plastics are made of the same stuff i think you should be fine.

I modified my grill quite some time ago....looks so much better without the massive Holden badge!!

This has to be the most tasteful grille mod I've seen, well done. You've made it neat without being tacky or empty.

Nice effort, but I agree it would look better without the chrome bonnet strip.

Have you thought about getting a black bonnet strip like MM25 has?
