Hi all, I am new to this forum, having just bought a VE II Omega LPi(or the minister of finance has). Build date March '13

Anyway, I intend to give it a full service. Changing the engine oil is not a problem, but I would like to change the trans oil as well (72K kms) I don't yet have a manual, but have ordered one from Fleabay, but it is only for a VE, up to 2012 .

Questions:

I know there are a few cosmetic changes to the VE II, but what about mechanical changes? (apart from the E85 compatibility)

Now I am pretty sure it has a 6 speed trans.(but I may be wrong, I wasn't driving), and, looking at the Ryco site, there isn't a filter listed for the trans. Does this mean that the tranny cannot be serviced? E.g.: internal filter such as a Kia Carnival?

In fact, looking at the Pentite site, I can't even find a listing for it. Their lpg VE only goes up to 2011.

Any help here will be appreciated.

Cheers

I have no specific knowledge of your car but generally all autos need the fluid changed for best performance. If you cant get the info take it to a specialist. May save you money in the long run.

First step would be to work out what trans you have. Can get this info off the build plate.

The 5 speed boxes require the pan to be removed entirely to change the filter. The oil then needs to be added through a filler hole on the side of the trans. And topped up once the gearbox temperature reaches between 60 and 80 degrees while it is running.

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure the LPG motor is still the old alloytec and 4 speed auto ?
