Ve L98 in for a full rebuild

Hey guys long time reader first time poster my L98 went in for cam and heads work but now we have to rebuild the engine I’m just wondering if there’s anything I should upgrade while it’s getting rebuilt, any advice will be great I’m going to call the engine builder early next week, engine has 212***S and the cam end bearings were rooted and I’ve got scoring on the big end bearings

The vcm 883 is the cam that will be put back in once she’s back together

change the timing tensioner to a early LS2 dog bone style as the newer L98 style can cause issue from braking

shave the heads(get the exhaust ported if you have $$$) to get comp up, high flow oil pump and if you dont have already Tie bar lifters. as mentioned ls2 chain tensioner
