Hi,

I've searched the forums, but cant quite find what I need.

I am looking for a honeycomb VE SS grille ( same as standard ) , but WITHOUT the circular molding. I would like to replace the current grille, and instead, afix the standard VE SS badge. I have already removed all badges from the rear, and moved the SS badge to where the lion was originally. Alsorepainted the original grille Silver, and the current lion is black, so I think the standard SS badge on the front would suit very well, once a new grille is repainted.

Any help appreciated.

Cheers

Doc

A lot of VE owners have been looking for something similar, but there's nothing out there without the circle in the middle. Would have to be a custom job at this time unless something new has just hit the market.

Mines late 2008, so maybe just snuck into the unpinned category. Was a bit worried about that, having to weld, etc, sigh of relief when I found I didn't. Just out of interest, why did they go pinned anyway, with modern glues/tape, etc, what was the point ?

Thanks, I expected as much. Pity, probably a few bucks there for the person that can fabricate and build a mold. Wonder what that would cost ? Think a few getting together could perhaps share the cost ?

Cheers

Checkout Sydney special vehicles they have a honeycomb mesh soyou can cut out your old honeycomb and glue the new one in. Can't seen to find the link but have seen a few cars with and looks great.

This sort of thing?

I modified my grill quite some time ago....looks so much better without the massive Holden badge!!

There is an excellent thread on here with photos and how-to info. Just search "VE grille modification". I would paste the link for you if I was at my desktop.
