VE SS questions

The only time I took any interest in economy was about five weeks ago and then only for my own curiosity. 1010 k's round trip, average speed was 94 kph, consumption was 10.3 litres per hundred. The road was quite windy plus quite a few small towns at 50 k's. I'm quite sure if I had driven a bit slower economy in the 9's would have been easy. I remember owning 4 and 6 cylinder cars back in the sixties and seventies with less than one quarter of the power not getting anything like the the economy of the ss.

Same as mine, it’s not every cold start either I have noticed an improvement after using nulon lifter free in mine

I have just been and bought some Nulon lifter free from Autobarn. The price was $16. I could have brought the same product on line for $12, from Supercheap for $20 and from Repco for $25.

Maybe check the Lifter Filter first, under the OP Sender, and clean it out,
that could be the issue, not getting enough oil.

Thanks but I am not having lifter problems. I just put some in for good measure.

Mongrel thing to get at aye I changed the oil pressure sensor on my old LS1 what a bastard lol it’s just like trying to get at the dizzy on an efi 5L

Deep socket, short extension bar [the right length], and a shallow ratchet.

If you not having Lifter Problems,
what was the reason to purchase Nulon lifter free from Autobarn ?
Is that not to quieten them down ?

No particular reason other than plus some insurance. Doesn't really make sense to me either.
