Ve sv6 series 2
I have a VE series 2 and I'm having problem playing some media files.
I'm using a usb stick with mp3 files and some are working but some aren't.
I can view the folder using the browse button and the files but when I press the particular song's nothing happens.
When I use the next button to cycle through folders it completely skips the folders with files that wont play.
I've double and triple checked that they are mp3.
Any ideas?

1. What was the source for the mp3 files? Have you tried playing the mp3 files from another device?
2. Try writing the original source files onto a new media stick and see if that helps.
3. I had a similar problem trying to play .flac files in my Gen-F2 GTS until I converted them to .mp3. Maybe all .mp3 files are not equal !!!

They're just mp3s that I've downloaded over the years.
I've tried on 2 different usb sticks now and have the same issue in slighty different ways.
I'm thinking its some weird thing with folders.
For example, Music, Random mp3s didnt work on one usb stick yet Random mp3s did on another.
However other mp3s in a folder within another folder are working.

Take notice of which titles don't work & which titles do work. Now take the usb stick & plug into the computer. Check the properties file onthe songs that work & compare to the properties file that do work.

Also while the usb stick is plugged into the pc, see if the songs that don't play in the car will play on the pc.

How many files are on the stick?
How many files per folder?
The IQ media player has limitations on the number of files, and files per folder.

Ok so this makes sense.
I've tried a few different ways now.
Songs that have worked one way haven't worked in another and vice versa

I cant remember the limitations, but it was a common problem with media players back then.
If you stick to a max. of 50 files per folder, and no more than 50 folders you should be able to read all the files.
