VE ute trailer plug

Hey guys
my dads got a ve omega ute, plugging our trailer into hes ute nothing works, but it works on my VT commodore fine

There is power going to the plug on hes ute

is there any difference with the plugs on vt / ve?

Not sure where to start to figure out the problem

I am guessing that it is the flat style of plug?
What type of lights have the trailer got on them eg led lights?

If it is a round plug they could be wired 5 or 7 pin plug, or if the trailer has led lights how are they wired with the earth eg are the lights earthed onto the trailer or threw the wiring.
old trailers used to earth threw the tow ball which is not that good an idea so just wondering
