I have seen a few VF's coming in with dodgy paint work, one example is a HSV with over 20 paint faults alone. Looks like **** under the paint , so if you take delivery of one make sure you look it over.

They seem to be having issues with the door handles in particular. We had a Regal Peacock SSV come in and there just wasn't enough base on the door handles (the primer was bleeding through). The Calais V I have at the moment has a bit of a paint defect in the left fender. The metallic is not sitting right when you look at it from some angles. This is on a Karma coloured car......

The air con issue has been a major one though. Everyone' air is blowing cold unless it's on HI! There's a quick software update to counter this issue but.

Holden VF Calais V -V6
I had marks that looked like a scratches both horizontally and vertically on my drivers door, however this was left by pre-delivery "tape" they use and you could see the horizontal serrated edge of the tape mark where it had been cut. Luckily David from Final Inspection Detailing was able to remove it all.

I also have a paint defect on the pillar (A Pillar?) on the drivers side as some foreign object has been sprayed over during the painting process eg dirt or dust... I have been told this needs to be "denibbed" So I am taking it back to the dealer as I believe this should be done under warranty. I am surprised this went through unnoticed by Holden QC..

Read somewhere the GEN VF HSV's have an issue with paint run off on the lip of the bonnet.

Noticed the same on the Calais V.

It makes sense to have it shut off after 5mins. Why would you want to sit in a car for 2hrs to watch a movie anyways.

I reckon he wants to watch his porn movies, while the missus and kids are inside, sneak of out the side, into the "new VF" oooohh la la, in my new car.
LOL, but I suppose you would only need it on for 10-15 mins, right?

With pressing the ignition; Why not just try it? If it works, it works. I only semi understand why you'd want it in writing. Its not like the car's going to explode if you hold it down.

Also, is there a rule in the drive in where you can't have the car running? To me, it seems the easiest solution would just have the engine idle. It uses very little fuel doing this. Should also instantly solve your issue.
