Chasing some genuine rear wheel bearings for a V8 VF. Genuine they are pushing 250 to 300 each.

Does anyone have any idea when brand rhe genuine ones are?

Does anyone have the bearing number, not part number for a rear wheel bearing.

Would like to replace wirh timken or SKF if I can't get an affordable genuine. What are everyone's preference

Are they same as VE? I think I have a VE one I pressed out from mine when I replaced one. I also just went to the bearing shop and they ordered me one in. I didn't need a part number.

I think they are the same as VE. What brand did they order in for you. I can get never heard of brands off ebay without any problem but would like to get something that is either a decent brand such at timken or skf or genuine. Just without the genuine price tag hopefully

A search of eBay and the web generally comes up with the following ‘after market’ equivalents…

SKF is FW88
Timken is WB000027
OEM is GM 92171057

(but please double check that the above are really the equivalents, rather than rely on my 5 minute search)

Both seem to just as expensive, if not more expensive, than the GM OEM item.

I got mine from Bearings Tas. It came in a CBC box.

Given the somewhat blatant extortion that is becoming more apparent at HSPO, Ive been thinking that having a sticked thread with OEM suppliers could perhaps be useful for finding good prices?

Some examples ive come across

V6/(V8?) engine mounts re-boxed Mackay
V6 tail shaft couplings - Re-boxed Mackay
V8 Tail shaft couplings - Re-boxed SKF
AcDelco Brake Hoses - Re-boxed Sunsong
