When did you fit AWD?
Welcome to Just Commodores, a site specifically designed for all people who share the same passion as yourself.
Gen-F2 GTS uses AP Racing calipers/pads not Brembos. Nevertheless, you are correct, in that it doesn't seem to be possible to view the inner pad without first removing the caliper. It's probably a moot point anyway. I had a good look at the spare pad set that I have and it appears that only the outer pad has the wear indicator (squealer?) so that's not the reason for the clicking noise. I had a good inspection of the wheel/hub area today and everything was nice, clean and new looking. Might have to resort to the WUIGRB resolution technique (Wait Until It Gets Really Bad). Not sure about your Brembos but stock SS calipers you have to remove the caliper to check the inner pad.
Sorry, don't understand how AWD (All Wheel Drive?) came into the thread. When did you fit AWD?
Can I raise my hand as another member of the “don’t get it” club?Sorry, don't understand how AWD (All Wheel Drive?) came into the thread.
Ah yes - the sound heralding the approach of a student owned Austin/Morris 1100 back in the day.Can I raise my hand as another member of the “don’t get it” club?
Best I could come-up with was some cars with driven front wheels having a propensity for wearing through front CV joints which then make clicky-clicky sounds …
Changed my brakes and got a tiny stone caught between rotor and dust shield on the inside without me realising. What. a. pain. Didnt make noise when not driving, even if you jacked up and turned the wheel - couldn't hear it.Not something stupid like a pebble or alikes stuck in the tread?
And yes clutching at straws with this response
Yep unfortunatelyMight have to resort to the WUIGRB resolution technique (Wait Until It Gets Really Bad).
