I think I have resolved.

So I got the latest MyLink update. I have it on a dongle, BUT, it doesn't fix the problem.

Wiping the cache of my phone actually made things worse.

Unpairing and repairing intermittent and no fix.

Power reset phone - nothing.

A combination of everything - works sometimes.

NOW...... Something that so far has given me 100% success is: When you connect the Bluetooth go to the Bluetooth connected items and click the settings (i.e of MyLink) and you will see check boxes with the items you want to transfer (phone audio, contacts, media audio, messages). Untick them all except for (media audio). Play music and it may skip for a moment but then fix itself. Reintroduce each option back slowly and the music should remain playing without any stuttering.

I will keep trying to avoid any confirmation bias.

That would be for the newer mylink in captivas and barinas, etc yeah? Doubt there would be a new type for VF.

Yeah you are probably right hence why they couldn't provide me with much more details. Knowledge at dealerships even by service specialists is on average pretty poor.

I turned off Contact Sharing for the MyLink bluetooth connection and has been working perfectly for the last month. ie no more stutters or dropouts

My mobile is a Google Pixel 3XL running Android 11
