Hi All,
Purchasing a new VF2 SSV and there is a $350 factory brake upgrade option available. Dealer is saying its the brakes fitted to the US police cars , does anyone have details or knowledge of what this option actually is ? Calipers ? Rotors ?, Bigger , thicker , better ??

Thanks in advance

Probably a bullsh!t dealer upgrade different pads or something wouldn't be much for $350 option. (flip key is $350)

The rotors are slightly bigger, that's it.

It's a factory fit option, not dealer fit.

$350 gets you a 60mm single piston front caliper, 345x30mm ventilated front disc, low metallic pads plus upgraded master cylinder. (Std fitment on V8's is Twin 42mm piston caliper, 321x30mm ventilated disc and non asbestos organic pads). The rears are the same.

In day to day driving I can't really tell the difference and unless you have the cars side by side the brakes look exaclty the same as well.

If the Dealer (Stealer) offer same then get HIM/THEM to explain to you exactly what is involved with the so-called upgrade. Good luck.
