Couldn’t locate the plastic handbrake boot retainer anywhere, so engaged a motor trimmer & asked him to reproduce a new hand brake boot with a longer end so it could be glued, doubled back on its self & clipped. Should work.

Hi Guys
I installed my console yesterday and I have an original handbrake boot but the handbrake lever doesn't seem to work right in the boot, is there a different handbrake lever for low rise and high rise consoles or does anyone know what the issue may be?

I went from low to high with the same lever, the boot retaining system in the high rise console is differant.

Did you get front bracket new or second hand?

Also were you given any measurements where to weld in rear bracket?

Ordered one for a vk but no instructions & car has no dash in it at all so can't dummy it up either.

Mine is second hand and I riveted mine in
I put my dash in and then the console

Front one was second hand, just mocked up both brackets then riveted them in. Rear one was new (aftermarket) & mounting foot is slightly larger apparently.

Guess I'll have to leave it untill we can get a dash in it or maybe one day pull my sle apart to measure it.
