The Calais seats are in as is the VS stearing wheel. Had a go at glue and hood lining. half done. Went for a cruise to Aldinga and no heater :(. So that will be the next job along with fitting the CD player and rear speakers.

Is the VS wheel a straight bolt up.
And have you got any pics, I have been wondering what VS wheel would look like in a VN as I can't find a VN Calais wheel in good condition.

Fitted the greenfoam gas memcal that I still had on the shelf (buyer failed to show up) and went for a drive down to Myponga and back - nice round trip with hills and flats. Returned 7.5 L/100 on petrol. Gas was still fail - so will get that checked out this week.

Dropped the car off at the local mechanics today for some work on the rear bushes and fit up some new front rotors and pads I already had. When I leave the list is they are replacing the front link pins upper and lower trailing bushes, and rear brake pads. Then as I'm half out the door - oh wont run on gas...... They see more $$$$ so they are going to look at the gas side of things too.

Oh well it's only money.

Just got a phone call from the mechaninc - the front clunk was the caliper bolts moving around. The brake performance test showed left was 50% down on the right.

Just got onther call - your back pads are wafer thin...... Yeah - thats why I took the car in I say - remember the rear pads and we got to talking about the rear bushes needing to be pressed in so I give tha car to you and now it's been rebuilt. Hate to think how much I've spent today and the gas is still not fixed yet...
