just had a thought that Im using the System 1 remote filter which put a T-fitting in the dash an10 line for pressure gauge, perhaps could break into that line

Yep that will work.

Run engine on floor
thought I'd use pro comp manifold as purchased sometime ago, and think i have 750 barry grant carb on shelf
should be okay to run it
Ports are not the best looking at them
just need distributor

What you want to trolly test it?

I advise against that, engines need load to seat the rings.
Best is to do it in car but an engine dyno can load an engine to seat the rings.

How was the block honed? If it was plateau honed, then the rings will seat within 10 minutes, if it's an old school stone hone with no finishing plateau done then it can take up to an hour of loading the engine lightly.

700R4 Rebuild
Trans started being put together, which is great. Having collected all the goodies over last 6 month, now can start clearing the bench and consolidating them into trans. The only part missing from this trans is rear billet shaft, however 2nd best option was new OEM with cryogenic treated. Some $$ spent here but I wanted the trans to be the best that could be build

Here are few pic of the guts
