Vn ss wont start

Hi there,
I have a vn ss commodore, I'm trying to get it running. It would almost run when I'm trying to start it, but as soon as I stop it would stop. It has spark, injectors are all working, changed leads, distributor cap and button, and throttle sensor.
I checked the timing but it seems good..
Its starting to do my head in, cause I'm running out of ideas.. anyone suggest what could be an issue or had something similar happen on there car.

Pretty common for the dizzy to have problems on the 5L.

Are you getting fat , blue sparks at the plugs?

Try some start ya bastard or other aerosol when starting to indicate if it is a fuel or spark problem.

Can you hear the fuel pump priming ?

A few times I've guessed correctly and changed the Ignition Module on the inner guard when not starting when hot or stalling on the road and not restarting till it cooled down.
while its running move the wiring loom around and see if it stops a rubbed thru wire or dud connection isn't unheard of especially if its been apart before.

Here's how to test it according to the Holden VQ manual. The resistor you can get from Jacar.
