vr 5 litre running rough when hot nearly stalls when takeing off

What fan are you running ?

Idle looks high there too.

I am just running the stock standard fan on it and in the video I had me foot on the accelerator as its happening as you take off

The radiator isn't to bad I cleaned it out probly 6 months ago gave the motor a flush and new coolant . I am going to film what its doing and post it up . I will also put up a photo of what the temp is sitting on when it happens

Yeah, done all that till I bit the bullet and fitted the new radiator, never looked back.
Just saying...

Cheers mate anything is worth a shot where you having some issues like this aswell.

Oh, did I miss something, you don't have the OEM fan on it?

Sounds crap like down a cylnder or crossfiring but you're gassing it.

Time to start at basics & go through it all again.

Bridge pins 5 & 6 to look for fault codes.

Fire it up,check timing is at 10 degress

Give throttle body & iac a good clean.

Check idle revs are to spec & adjust...8-900rpm rings a bell.


If you can do one a compression test would be handy & whether or not someone has put a modded memcal in it
