So just needed a bigger hammer.
Lol. I think EYY is on to something.
Besides that, I may have rushed the fitting if the manifold and not put sufficient sealant across the rear valley face, as now there seems a bit much oil around the distributor area.

Update:
In the last month I pulled the dissy, cleaned the back of the manifold and smeared more sealant over the join. Dissy back in and re-timed it.
Purchased an aldl/obd cable (or whatever they call it) and downloaded tunerpro. Logged car to see what is happening. First move was to adjust throttle stop so IAC steps were reduced to a more normal range.
Much more to come on this topic of logging. Big thanks for Immortality for the help.

And today I cut a rectangle out of my exhaust.
It was offset vertically around the WB O2 port. Plan is to flip it and reweld back in so sensor is above centre and atleast 10° above parallel. As before today it was not.

Welded my rectangle back in today.
I only weld about once every year or two, but did alright (considering my cuts were not perfectly straight).
I ground it back, then my mate went over it to fill a few pin holes.
Shot coat of black and good to go.

So took the car off the road again (from nov 25) and slowly but surely removed the master/booster and dummied up the VZ unit:

Bloody tight fit. But will be happy there.
Still need to get M10 to M12 adapter for rear brake line, injector plug for brake low switch, bend rear line, make front and rear brackets. But all are mostly sussed and should be good soon.

In other news, FPR on the rail that came with manifold leaks. But got V6 reg from Immortality 'surplus to requirements' and that fits perfect if you carefully select orientation of return line hose clamp.

Ya know the way Holden fitted that AC hose is a real PITA and just looks plain terrible...

Glad the FPR worked out, good thing you mentioned it when you did, I had started on cleaning up the garage and was throwing out a whole lot of old VN era bits (no doubt I'll need something I threw out one of these days...).
