Haha, yeh well i'm probably due for a username change, considering i now own a Chev and not a V6 anymore...:)

mr j-man, alls well mate. I am a truck mechanic of 42 years, and have been a car nut for about45 years. Ask my missus, I have owned waaaay too many cars, including way too many Commodores. Have built a few Chevs, and am in the process of doing a repower on my C20 Chev pickup(probably LS1)
We have the engine out of my daughters Clubby at the moment. Had an average rebuild by an average engine builder, now got another looking at it. Its got the Scat crank, I beam rods, around 10.25 compression.
Cams too hot, so just getting that changed as well while the engines out.
I dont do a lot of the work myself these days. Old, and health issues unfortunately.

Spoke to castlemaine rod shop today and they do crossmembers to suit t400 onto the vs

wouldnt an early VB with a T400 fit the VS? probaby pick up one from the wrecker (if you are REALLY lucky) for 50 bucks.

failing that just reweld in some new bolts and move it yourself.
