I was looking to put some 19' VE SSV alloys on my VX S-Pac because I've just got the original 16s on there now and they look pretty crap. I know you have to get the centres of the VE's machined. But I was reading on another thread that you need to get new tyres because the VE's will rub or something? is this true or will they just bolt straight on once machined?
cheers.

The stud problem seems to be fixed when using GENUINE Holden wheel nuts for Alloys, not nuts for stockies, and not aftermarket. I've done 30,000 on my VE wheels so far and know people that have done triple that with no issues. You will need to replace the yres, as I believe a VE would have 245/40/19 on a 19" wheel, whereas you want 235/35/19, may 245 on the rear. 18" VE wheels are normally 245/45/18, and on a VX you'll want 235/40/18, again you can have 245 on the rear. If you want new wheels, on eBay you can get some good packages. I paid $1200 for mine, machined, with the right tyres and delivered to my door. SS wheels should be cheaper.
