VX Berlina showing Executive VIN

Hey guys, I’m currently looking at a commodore for sale, have fulled REVS check and it comes back as an executive, including ‘K’ in VIN, but seller states it’s a Berlina, which fits as it has cruise control, dual airbags etc. Any ideas?

It's not a special edition like the Lumina or Equip of the era? I had a VX Lumina and was very much the same as the Berlina with the added airbags for passenger and side impact. Does it have different front bumper and rear lights across the boot?

Unsure, we haven’t inspected the car yet and don’t have photos. Seller has left it with his mechanic for servicing etc. He seems pretty knowledgeable and has a few Holdens though and is certain it’s a Berlina. Equipe’s and Lumina’s seem to have a different options package than Berlina’s. REVS check shows it started life as a fleet car which i would think further points to it being an Exec. Guessing I’ll just have to wait til i can lay eyes on the car and see what the VIN on the body says, might have just been a paperwork error

Yeah that’s what I’m saying, it has a ‘K’ for executive, but it presents as a Berlina, with additions not found on the executive, so it can’t be.

Additions may have been optional extras?
A previous owner may have added the extras?

They include more airbags etc, so haven’t been added. Also started life as a fleet car so i doubt it was upgraded with optional extras from factory

How many owners after the fleet owner got rid of it?

Have a look at my signature, to see what extras l have added to my vt s1 wagon.
Plus items that never appeared until ve & vf.

someone in the past may have written a berlina off or stolen one
and transferred the internals to an executive

Surely previous owners haven’t added more airbags
