It’s most likely in the sender. There are a few types for VY, VZ series1 and VZ series 2 and Crewman/Tonner is no exception.
I would first be sliding the tray back again to do a visual. If the line that goes over the hump is not how it should be, that might be a thing.
If a bad sender is at play, or the wrong one, there could be that. If the wrong one is being used (say for a sedan or wagon) this will happen.
I used a wagon BCM for a while on my crewman (I was playing around) and this is exactly what happened.
If the supplier has used an incorrect sender, that would explain it.
