Is a VY V6 Manual faster or slower than the Auto version?

Couldn't answer that one for sure, Havn't run a VY Manual yet!!
I would imagine that a manaul would pull away in each gear just a little, and the Auto would catch up during gear changes. overall I would be guessin that the Manual would win over 400mtrs..... ( only guessing)

yeah the manual should be that little bit quicker, though it would come down to the driver, if the driver of the manual gets a good take off and good gear changes then yeah manual should be quicker.

Oh i dont no how the VY would go agaist a BA ai i rekon d BA mite win though, though havent dragged one yet.

VY with the right mods can be quicker, but due to the weight difference if the VP was to be making same power with same trans and diff you would expect it to get in front.

And I can say that the VY will beat BA/BF XR6 falcons especially the autos, manuals aren't much trouble to see to though. They are just way to heavy to be usefull. 1.7 tonne dry :sleeping:

I was reading on the net that the BF falcon AUTO
does 0-100 in 7.7 seconds, anyone have the 0-100 time of the stock VY commodore manual or auto.

i was driving on a stretch today, went past a VE sv6 as the speed limit went up 10km/h, he didnt like being passed by an older model, and floored it, i saw him come up beside me, so i floored it, and pulled away within 20m.
my car has the exhaust and shiftkit (recently done) and his car had nothing, except the sv6 is 194kw i think???? didnt think even with my mods my car was capable.
mine being a ute possibly made the difference?? i dunno, but i was happy.

VY vs VE

Yeh, I'd be thinkin the VE is a pretty heavy car, I havn't had a go at one yet!!
I have had a few runs with a mates VZ sv6 and beat him on all occasions. Not sure if its in the ratio's or the torque curve but the Alloytech190 seems to be pulling big kw, but on the road, just doesn't deliver the goods!!
