I will have to flush it out the best l can

When l get to the stage of refilling l will just run water through it for a few days and empty everyday until it clears. A pain in the backside but the only way to clear it out.

Missed a word. Sealant on the thermostat housing bolts as well as the water pump bolts.

And don't forget to bleed the air out of coolant system.

Ok back into it, cleaned all areas in thermo and water pump. Cleaned all the bolts. Ran the hose through it until all clear. Placed the thermo on put sealant on bolts, that is done. Oh yeah, torqued them t0 20 then to 34. Now the tension for the WATER PUMP, there are eight bolts4 x big and 4x smaller. So do all these bolts get tension to 20 then 30.

Water Pump To Cylinder Block Bolts 20 - 30nm
Water Pump Pulley Attaching Bolts 10 - 16nm

No. Different torque as above, top two lines

All good, it is done, now we will see if l got it all correct after a fee trips here and there. Done one 20 k trip and seems to be fine. Thanks all for the advice and directions, your a gun Lex thanks. If l ever run into you l will certainly be buying you a drink or three.
