I stand corrected and good to learn of this.
Both of my VZ's have the 4 although in 1 the rear 2 are basically turned off in the tune.

My car is running/idling roughly, can smell fuel smell seems running rich, lots of black carbon on spark plugs, exhaust pipe etc..
Also, engine stalls at sudden braking, low speed, turning, stopping at signal. The stalling issue is very random, it could happen anywhere in the middle of the road. RPM needle is not stable when this happens. The needle jumps up/down like surging. Car is struggling to maintain 500+ RPM at idle, low RPM issue. I have P0050 error reported (O2 Heater circuit malfunction) on Bank-2, sensor-1. Could this be the problem? any help is appreciated.

I have changed:

1- Spark plugs twice
2-Coil Pack
3-Cleaned injectors with cleaner after dismantling the plenum
4- replaced gaskets for both plenum and intake manifold
5- did catalytic system cleaning process
6- ensured no air is being leaked
7- cleaned throttle body
8- cleaned MAF
9- Replaced MAF
10- replaced vacuum pipe connected to air intake tube. as it was unplugged/broken

I'm suspecting whether the O2 sensor is the culprit of all this? if not ECU? I'm pretty much out of options.

I made one of those sensor sockets with a cheap long socket and an angler grinder. Only took a moment, and works good. They are a useful tool.

Lucky no children died as it did fly across the car park at one stage.

Here we go; now i got 'check power train' on dash. Put on OBD2 on the car and find fault codes for Sensor 1 Bank 1. I think i have only 2 sensors, and they're the 4 wire ones. (VZ LE0 175KW MAR05). Which sensors to get - it's giving me a headache? It seems it's either Ebay 2 for $40 or Bosch 2 would be $240. There is no brand in between from what i can see these days. The Ebay ones look like the AliExpress adverts. AliExpress also sells O2 sensors for Holden.

First. Have a look at the O2 plugs. They are easy to get to. Especially the passenger side. Count the pins

I don’t right now but follow the loom from the sensor to the plug.
It will be easy to find.

Now before you go changing the sensors, under stand you may well still have o2 sensor codes.
why? Because the code does not indicate the fault is the sensor. It indicates the sensor is reading data outside it’s parameters. It may very well be doing the exact job it’s designed to do.

Here on the forum is the pdf for testing the o2 sensor resistance and you could do that from the plug which is easy to reach.

If it is reading obscure data, then further investigation is required. It could have a vacuum leak, injector problems, or a raft of other causes.

Are you able to retrieve fuel trim data?
