i havnt fuesed mine as i dont know of any fuse big enough to handle the power required to start a v8 on a cold morning. if anyone knows of one can you please let me know?

a fusable link is also a possibility. depends on howe much you want your live wires to be fused as to how far you go!

Starter motor wires dont need fusible links, the only protection you have could be a battery isolating switch,
Different conditions will vary the current draw, if however you decide you need a fusible link to satisfy yourself that they are suposed to be there, make sure you use enough fusible linkwire so you can start your car on a cold morning, every other circuit however will req a fusible link!
