Just saying, You dont want to do that.
i have seen 3 cars where people bring them into work over a water leak, and they have done this..
To get the light out you will need to replace them...

IMO Use winscreen sealer, dosent go hadrd but waterproof

Thanks for the warning. I was ony going to put a small bead of silicone around the base of the bolts that hold the garnish on but I will use windscreen sealant instead.

^ I've already done this, its fine to remove too, didnt have any issues.

& used windscreen sealant behind the stato garnish

You shouldnt use "Silicone" on a car at all! It promotes rust like fcuk!

I had the same problem with my VT m8, soon as i cleaned those holes out viola never happened again :)
