iv talked to a few auto electrician about my car its a 3.8L v6 ecotec they said it might be my selector not responding ( as in he thinks its reading in drive but really its in park) i turn the key everything lights up on the dash but doesn't make the car fire or even tick battery and starter motor are brand new and still nothing, i just want it to start from the key, the engine isnt seized because i bridged the starter relay and it ticks over but doesn't fire , is there any possibility on bridging the selector so it can start in any gear?

are you bridging the start relay with the key in the on position? if yes then it should run as the park/neutral switch only affects the starting circuit.

when you try to start it with the key does the red security light stop flashing?

the ignition barrel has a metal key way in the middle, and when they ware out the start to bend and therefore doesn't reach the contact pins . maybe the problem.
