Corona is piss water. The lime on the beer is a made up tourist crap. How started, so I was told in Mexico, was with the tourists. They asked for a Beer and a Tequila shot. The bartender gives a Bottle, a Shot and of course the Lime wedge. You only got 2 hands, so, place the wedge by the mouth of the bottle and carry it to the table. Of course, dumb tourists, they shoved the wedge inside thinking on that is how you drink a beer.
Also on my last trip 2 weeks ago... I was told by a Tequila connoisseur, Cozumel native, that is not supposed to lick salt and suck on a lime. You do that with the shite Mezcal to get the taste off your mouth. By the way, José Curevo is not Tequila, is Mezcal. The hangovers will tell you
