Questoon. Does it actually matter what way the strainer sits?

Yesterday when getting out of my car, the door blew shut as i was getting up and it knocked me back onto my seat.

Ended up breaking the plastic on the right hand side where the seat controls are.

Does anyone think something like Araldite will work?

Have attached pics.

I would say Araldite would work, that stuff is pretty hardcore for melting plastics together due to the chemical reaction, I used it a few times to fix sunnies that split on the nose bridge. I'm not too familliar with those kinds of controls since my car is ancient but if it's just sticking the clip back onto the broken part under the chair to hold it in place again, it should work, just be careful bumping it if you glue it since it'll be a weak point where it's glued

Now i just have to pull off my seat cover and see how to pull that whole plastic off, along with unscrewing the broken plastic bit.

I'm hoping it will hold, i'm not a heavy guy, but that plastic looks thinish, so no wonder my whole body force sitting on it that it snapped, stupid wind.

Is easy to remove. Costs like $10 from wreckers (i had to buy one as when i bought my car, was damaged as was scuff plate)
