Indeed, you can see why they were THE car of the time though..absolutely stunning..and horrendously expensive..Some of these were going for $20,000USD when the average car was $500..

In 2020 dollars, that's $9400 vs $376,000......

Agree with this. Insured value is not a good correlation to what the car is worth.

My 2016 SS Black is insured for 52k but I would be lucky to get something close to 40K. Probably closer to 35K

Bloody hell my 16 SS has less than 7000kms and agreed is 44k. What I paid for it.
