2008 VE SV6 Auto Ute, 2013 VF SV6 Auto Sedan.
I have NRMA Comprehensive Insurance for both vehicles... agreed value....not Market Value.
1. 2008 Holden Commodore SV6 Ute...….agreed value....$12,050.....premium $841.59.
2. 2013 Holden Commodore SV6 Sedan...agreed value....$13850.....premium..$807.90.
It appears that the Ute is holding its value since it is 13 years old.
The Sedan is 7 years old.
Both vehicles are in show room condition.
How are your Holden's stacking up?....what will they be worth in the distant future?
No doubt the insurance companies will want a mint for insurance after all the natural disasters ( so called climate change ) by some advocates! :(

440rwhp Cammed VF Ute
I've got my SS Storm ute insured for about $33k, I paid $36k for it new 5 and a half years ago and have dropped another $16-$18k in mods. I'll be considering my options if the agreed value drops too much next time around as it's only got ~23,000km on it (it's not a full daily as I've got a bike as well) and bar a few tiny stone chips it's as new.

VFII MY17 SV6 (LFX) Sportwagon (SOLD)
2017 VF SII SV6 Sportwagon (64,720km on delivery) insured for $26,840. Premium is steep. But paid by monthly instalment. Used Commodore prices have plummeted during the last week, a bit like a fire sale. An Evoke wagon was seen in the car yard for $20,440 (has been there since last October!) was slashed down to $13,500 (!).

No Holden going to be worth anything 8-10 years from now, but personally I will have moved on by that time, probably to a VW (uni supplies a V8 TOURAREG for my PhD work, which I am using each week at the moment for interstate travel, because diesel covers much longer distances).

Top notch analysis there ... listing all the cars that are already worth something as the “future collectibles” ...

All cars are future collectables:)....Problem is, it'll take about 30 years to become a collectable.....:D....However some people are delusional and think, the brand is dead, so automatically it's got to be worth more immediately....

^ The brand is dead... GM said so ;)

As for what something is worth, the last word sits with the buyer :p
