It'll sound fine if you just want a little bass to support your speakers. If you want booming bass, you'll need something different.

And I'd buy neither of those amps. You want at least 250W for it. Ignore the recommendation of a monoblock as they're not made to run 4 ohm subs.

Firstly are you installing this in a Commodore? I personally wouldn't bother purchasing either of those 2 amps. A 250watt RMS sub, in a vehicle the size of a Commodore, is going to do SFA( and that's giving it 250, which those amps won't). Maybe whilst your stationary it may be audible, but once underway, the extra intrusion noise will most likely drown it out completely. IMO, you'd be better of upgrading your front stage.Subs can sound great in the right application, when installed and tuned properly, but i'd be more inclined to spend my money on something more suitable for day to day listening..My 2 cents..

My first sub had a huge 160wrms and I still found it awesome. Never a problem with hearing it. It wasn't car rattling bass but it complimented the song nicely.

Yeah it didn't last long before I got 400wrms of pioneer mono, then 700wrms of Cadence then 1400wrms of Cadence. If only I'd followed your motto at the start Joe.

Mine was 150W and one of the louder subs I've had.

I think you have topped them all with your recent purchase :p

Are you planning a budget build or is this going to be a permanent system. I'm a firm believing in the moto "do it once and do it right".

i know, we had a big convo on it
